HALF-HALF
In this sub-series, there is an emphasis on the duality between the real animal and the animal born from the trash. Here the depiction of the animal figures appears divided between Neutral and Plastic. By placing these two opposing and conflicting existences side by side, Bordalo II intends to highlight the contrast between the animals he depicts and the waste materials he uses to create them, which are often responsible for the destruction of their habitats.

PLASTIC
Bordalo II completely abandons the camouflage technique to lay bare all the materials used.
The plastics, and all the other items used, are thus afforded greater prominence.
These pieces have strong tones that reveal the rich diversity of each of their constituent elements, allowing the observer to discover the objects and materials that are superimposed in the various layers.
